Podcast or podcasting is distributing audio files (shows, music, etc.) over Internet to subscribers. Podcast uses RSS - on some given address (URL) is a RSS file and you can subscribe to this feed using specialized program (Aggregator = Feed Reader, e.g. iTunes, Juice, MediaMonkey, Amarok, Canola, Rhythmbox etc.).
